DIY: Creature Jars ♡

Perfect for storage and as simple as can be these creature jars are a fun creative way to up cycle those empty jars that  hang around your house!

What you'll need:

Empty Jars with lids

Super Glue
Acrylic Paint
Clear Spray paint

To clean my jars I removed the labels and used  Goo Gone Stain Remover to remove the glue, I rinsed them with bleach and water mixture to kill any germs.

Super glue your chosen creatures on each lid and allow enough time to dry.

I used two coats of acrylic paint on each lid with about 15 minutes between each coat of paint. After the paint is completely dry which doesn't take too long I sealed each lid with two coats of crystal clear gloss spray paint.

I have a feeling the little jars will be perfect storage for my everyday lipsticks ♡

5 Easy Tips for Long Luscious Hair!

Hydrate!

The easiest tip is keeping hydrated! Your body is more than half water and it works best when it's well hydrated, healthy body = healthy hair!

Regular trims!

Cut my hair, what? I'm trying to grow it out! Over time hair begins to dry out and the ends begin to split, regular trims of just the ends every 2-4 months help prevent split ends from splitting further causing more damage. I trim my hair once every other month.

Vitamins!

Taking a once a day multivitamin helps ensure your body gets all the vitamins it needs that you don't always get from your regular meals, like hydrating your body works best when it has everything it needs. I take my vitamin every morning at breakfast, it's easy to remember and it will benefit me in the long run too!

Avoid heat!

Excessive heat can dry the moisture and oils from your hair making it brittle. It's easier said than done avoiding heat, so when using heat make sure to use a heat protectant!

Treat your hair!

With everything your hair goes through sometimes it needs a little extra love. Hair masks are great for keeping hair smooth and frizz free. A simple at home hair mask I love is 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 of an avocado,  1/2 of a banana, and 2 spoons of my regular hair conditioner. Mix and mash the olive oil, avocado, and banana, heat for 20 seconds, add the hair conditioner apply to ends of hair avoiding the scalp and let sit for 10-15 minutes, then wash your hair like you regularly would!
